A history of the Lodge at Red River
Opal and Dan Zehner dreamed of building the largest bar, casino, restaurant and year-round lodge in Red River. The first phase, completed in the late 1940's boasted 12 finished guest rooms, several gambling rooms and the restaurant. In 1950 the election of a reform ticket did away with gambling in New Mexico.
Over the years subsequent owners have enhanced the Lodge to its present charm. We now have 24 guest rooms situated off of the upstairs lobby. Please ask your hostess if you would like to tour a room.

THE MOTHERLODE SALOON
Located right next door to the Lodge at Red River is the one place in town for entertainment, dancing and spirits. We also have live music every Friday and Saturday night from 9:00 to closing, (everday during the Christmas Holiday).
No visit to Red River is complete without a night out at The Motherlode Saloon.
