When Does Red River NM Get Snow?

River River NM in a normal year, will get snow beginning the end of October. The October snows tend to be warm and will usually melt relatively quickly within the town, however, depending upon the temperatures, the snowfall may remain and begin to accumulate at the higher altitude peaks surrounding Red River.

If you are planning an adventure in the surrounding mountains, it is best to plan to go no later than mid October and be sure to check the weather and current conditions prior to departure.
