Impromptu Duck Pond Forms On Red River's West Side

Within a few hours on Saturday afternoon, a duck pond miraculously appeared at the corner of Tenderfoot and Willow Placer where there had been just dry ground that morning.

In a sign that Spring is definitely on the way, the pond filled rapidly from the melting snow and was immediately populated with lots of ducks and Kim Leach's dog Chloe.

The ducks new home was short lived as evening approached and a city worker appeared with a grader to drain the pond and encourage the ducks to go back to the river and Kim's dog to go home. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
