On Saturday, Feb 18th, at about 2:15 pm, the Red River Fire Dept was dispatched to the Lift West Condominiums for a small fire in a second floor corner unit.
According to Fire Chief Deke Willis, the fire was contained within the corner of the unit on an exterior wall and at this point the official cause is still undetermined but is suspected to be electrical in nature.
Two fire engines were dispatched including a ladder truck that was used to access the building from the exterior.
All damage was contained within the original unit where the fire began.
The Red River Fire Dept., as usual, responded quickly and in a professional and highly organized manner. We are all very grateful for their service and dedication.
